What a beautiful, nested, absorbing life! Every step of the way, you seem to me to be taking in wisdoms great and small, from your parents, their faith, your faith, your brothers (and sisters?), friends, husband. Shaped in loving hands, and true to the shaping. I find similar kinds of seeking and shaping in my favorites of your fairy tale novels. There is a recurring kind of faithfulness to what's true and good threaded throughout this reflection. And in it for me - a kind of guidance.
I have a friend who liked to say that he didn't think we could become wise, old men by trying to be wise, young men. He and I both acted on the skepticism in that joke. We were wrong. Your backwards look here lights up what we missed. There is a kind of sweetness in recognizing it.
You have my prayers, Regina. I'll hope for yours too.
Absolutely beautiful. And not just because you are my sister. I was spellbound reading this. You have a gift. Don’t stop writing. I’m listening.
Yep. Your sister has a gift indeed. I like a lot your, "I'm listening."
I love this Regina.
