We started a nursing home Christmas performance program for the twelve days *after* Christmas because so many groups were doing their Christmas celebrations before Christmas, in Advent. By the time Christmas rolled around, decorations were down the day after.
A similar approach could apply to really doing up Easter for the forty days, rather than just day of.
Beautiful article! I love wearing liturgical colors on Sundays. Unfortunately I cannot always find something appropriate in our rural area & sewing is not among my skills. I always wear my Scapular & Rosary bracelet though. God bless you in your ministry!
Your suggestion makes so much sense... and would be so incredibly hard for me. :) I have done another sacrifice you mentioned though for this year, and started wearing a veil to Mass on Ash Wednesday!

That's an awesome idea!
I am with you on waiting until Easter for the colorful colors.

I like the idea of real clothes, for men and women both.
