So…I had great plans for posting both deep and fun articles during Lent, Triduum, and Holy Week. I snapped photos and compiled material, but alas, life intervened. But on this glorious Easter day, I wanted to share one important component of our family’s annual festivities: Easter music. Tomorrow I hope to do a Music Monday on it. We’ll see how life treats me.
But for now, here it is, in all its plebian vulgar glory. I claim no finely curated musical taste. I am a common American consumer of music, and the music I offer here is hardly reflective of the wealth of Easter liturgical music of Christendom: it is our private family listening, but it has brought us joy to boot up these songs first thing each early Easter morn and sing—and yes, dance—to them. Enjoy!
Blessed Easter to you and yours. He is risen: trampling over Death by death: alleluia!
